Agreement to these terms

By accessing or using carhopp.bot (the "Site"), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you don't agree with them, please don't use the Site.

What carhopp is — and isn't

carhopp is an independent editorial travel journal. We publish guides, routes, and city dispatches, and we point readers to car-rental offers through our partner.

We are not a car-rental company, travel agency, or booking platform. We do not own vehicles, set rental prices, take reservations, or process payments. Every booking is a contract between you and DiscoverCars (and the rental supplier), governed by their terms — not ours.

Affiliate disclosure

carhopp participates in the DiscoverCars affiliate program. Car-rental links on the Site carry an affiliate tag, and we may earn a commission when you book through them. This never changes the price you pay, and it doesn't dictate our editorial judgement — we recommend routes and cars because we think they're worth it.

Editorial content is for general information

Our articles, prices, availability, routes, distances, and travel tips are provided for general information and can change without notice. Rental prices and conditions in particular are set by DiscoverCars and its suppliers and are only confirmed at the point of booking. Always verify the details that matter to you — insurance, mileage, driver age, deposits — with the provider before you book or travel.

Nothing on the Site is legal, financial, insurance, or professional travel advice.

Intellectual property

The text, design, and original graphics on carhopp.bot are owned by carhopp or used with permission, and are protected by copyright. Photographs are used under their respective licences, with attribution where required. You are welcome to link to our pages, but please don't republish or reproduce our content without written permission.

Third-party links and services

The Site links to third-party websites and services, including DiscoverCars. We don't control those sites and aren't responsible for their content, products, or terms. Following an external link is at your own discretion.

Acceptable use

Please use the Site lawfully. Don't attempt to disrupt it, scrape it at a scale that degrades service for others, misuse our affiliate links, or reproduce the Site in a way that misleads people about who publishes it.

Disclaimer and limitation of liability

The Site is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. To the fullest extent permitted by law, carhopp is not liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of the Site, from reliance on its content, or from any car rental you arrange with DiscoverCars or a supplier.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which carhopp operates, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. If any provision is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions stay in effect.
